Cat ladders are everyday architecture: climbing up the facades of buildings, they tell the story of how humans and animals live together. The authors, Matthias Oberli and Francisco Paco Carrascosa, together with graphic designer Emanuel Tschumi, will present the project, explaining the photographic style, the approach to selecting the images and how the interviews were conducted. The book brings together photographs and stories of cat stairs in Switzerland, the animals that use them and the people who build them.

It thus fits seamlessly into the publishing programme of the Biel-based publishers Haus am Gern, which is run by two artists and has, over time, become an integral part of their artistic identity. Alongside Catwalk Stories, a rich selection of further publications will offer an insights into the work of this vibrant publishing house.
