At the presentation of the new book K e i n T h e m a by André Vladimir Heiz, issued by edition taberna kritika, with K o n z e p t u e l l e s V e r l e g e n i s t k o n z e p t u e l l e s S c h r e i b e n, author and publisher Hartmut Abendschein provides an insight into his editorial work and his artistic practice.
In the performance dedicated to the new work, poet, semiotician and artist André Vladimir Heiz takes every term at its word.
W a r u m i s t d a s T h e m a k e i n T h e m a ? D a r u m !
K e i n T h e m a i s t d a s T h e m a !
Kein Thema bleibt kein Thema.
André Vladimir Heiz makes his mark. In words and pictures.
An extensive body of work is at hand.
Scientific essayistic and literary poetic traces go hand in hand.
As a semiotician, he explores the fundamentals of design.
From confectionery to cathedrals.
As an artist, he starts from elementary forms,
to trace their evolution on a sheet of paper and in space.
As an author, he clearly prefers the adventure of writing rather than describing adventures.

Hartmut Abendschein is a writer and publisher. His edition taberna kritika focusses on experimental, conceptual and visual literature. The project is conceived as a differential collection of examples in progress. In the media of book, object and digital object, it opens up the field of an expanded concept of literature and reading and examines the diverse production and reception possibilities of literary forms of expression. This is also where his artistic practice as an author is situated. Found literature, bricolages, hybrids and the conceptual are the starting points for his explorative writing.
