Humification offers the first comprehensive overview of Raphael Stucky’s artistic practice and is published on the occasion of the exhibition Troposonic. Manor Art Prize 2024 at the Musée d’Art du Valais, Sion (21.09.24–30.03.25).
The design of the publication follows the metaphor of the garden. It reflects concepts such as coexistence, repetition, cycle, growth, layering, decay and transience. This focus gave rise to the idea of a compostable publication. Humification was produced locally and sustainably according to the strict guidelines of the international ‘Cradle to Cradle – C2C’ certification. It contains no harmful ingredients, is CO₂-neutral and can be completely returned to the biological cycle.

The book launch will be accompanied by a sound performance by Hammer Band (Raphael Stucky & Andreas Thierstein). The setting, specially developed for the event, offers a multi-layered tapestry of sound created by a whistling and breathing portative organ.
