In his interdisciplinary practice, Daniel Stubenvoll deals with the relationships between architecture and power structures. His work is highly network-based and he makes people the focus of his attention. From found images and photographs, he creates new stories based on fragments illustrating with poetic seriousness the absurdity of life.
He uses books as a recurring resource for visual material but also as a relevant medium to extend his work beyond the exhibition space.
In conversation with Aline Juchler, he presents small and large book projects since 2011.

The art historian and film scholar Aline Juchler currently works in the field of cultural promotion. Previously, she was engaged with Nieves, the Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen and RaebervonStenglin, and for several years as a programmer and curator for an international film festival.
