With “SPEAK UP” Martina-Sofie Wildberger presents her second publication in the programme of edition fink. As with “I want to say something”, the text is based on a performance. While in her first performance book the text from which the performance consists was rearranged and adapted for the publication, “SPEAK UP” is a transcription based on a video documentation of the performance held on 26 November 2016 at sic! Raum für Kunst, Lucerne. The spoken text of the three-hour performance was transcribed piece by piece and word by word and presented in a four-column layout. The textbook is both a performance protocol and a script for future performances. Fourteen individual pieces are repeated throughout the performance, spoken in various combinations by four performers. The repetitions, which can also be found in the book, lead to fascinating variations.
